The opening
SADI'S SCROLL OF WISDOM
In the Name of God, the Merciful and Compassionate! O merciful Being! take pity on our condition; For we are captives in the snare of lust! We have no protector save Thee! Thou art the all-sufficient Forgiver of sins to us sinners! Keep us from the path of error; Forgive us our trespasses, and show us righteousness.
